'I started teaching Yoga 8 years ago after deciding that my chosen profession (PR and Marketing) was no longer for me. I had practised Yoga for about 5 years and found it calmed me and helped me manage a busy and stressful job.' Vicki trained with the Sivananda Vedanta Organisation, a tradionalist Yoga organzation based in India and founded by the great yogi and teachings of Swami Sivananda. Training is based on the ancient gurukula teaching system which integrates the student's daily life in an ashram (yoga retreat centre) as a fundamental part of the teacher training course itself. This allows for a firm foundation on which to build a teaching vocation, self discipline, self practice and an awareness of the true nature of yoga. Vicki is based in Buckinghamshire and teaches general classes in the area.

Sasha started practising yoga to help ease her stressful lifestyle working in IT and to complement her more conventional exercise options at the gym. After 17 years in IT, in 2003, she made a career change by taking up a Hatha Yoga teacher training programme studying with Bob Smith (author of Yoga for a New Age) and KI McGraw from the Hatha Yoga Center of Seattle. Sasha is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level with the Yoga Alliance and a Level 2 (Exercise and Movement) Instructor with the Register of Exercise Professionals. Sasha's preference is for a dynamic, physically challenging style of asana practice (Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga) leading to a deep state of relaxation in preparation for meditation. She teaches public classes aswell as intensives and yoga retreat holidays.

My yoga story started when I was 16. Ten years ago I met Danny Paradise and was inspired to start a dedicated vinyasa practice. I have a gentle flowing approach to this form and combine reiki to create a gentle healing transformative practice, For me Yoga means union; that is a coming together of the physical, emotional, mental and spriritual aspects of our being . A yoga practice that brings more light into the body, opens the heart and assists in personal transformation and healing. I have taught Yoga on healing retreats, at college, one to one and have worked as a dance therapist with the the disabled , the elderly, and the dying. I am also a massage therapist, advanced reiki master teacher, shamanic practioner and rebirthing therapist. My yoga classes are designed to heal and transform and to be medicine for the body, mind and heart, helping you connect to the sacred within.

Lynn has been practicing Yoga for eight years and teaching for two. Her teaching style and her own practice is primarily drawn from the vinyasa flow style of yoga in which a fluid flow of postures is led by the natural waves of the breath. It is a style which is welcoming to all abilities and ages. As well as teaching adult classes, Lynn is passionate about sharing the gift of yoga with children.
Practicing yoga can help children feel calm, peaceful, strong, confident and can help them develop skills which they can carry off the mat into their daily lives. In these classes, children will enjoy a playful but meaningful approach to yoga through animal poses, yoga games, crafts and stories. They will learn to be aware of the connection between their breath, body and mind They will develop strength , flexibility and coordination and learn how to relax and feel a sense of inner peace.

Surinder Kaur has studied Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Spiritual Philosophy, Applied Numerology and Karam Kriya Counselling for 15 years at the Karam Kriya School in London. She has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for 6 years. Through this practice she has become responsible for and committed to the unfolding of herself as a fully conscious human being. This is the greatest healing and one which she seeks to share by teaching the technologies of Kundalini Yoga and Karam Kriya.
Kundalini is the yoga of awareness. It is a comprehensive system of exercises, breathing, meditation, chanting and healthy mental projection. It cultivates our inner awareness and develops the relationship between our own life energy and that of the universe. The exercises and meditations help develop strength and commitment and clear sub-conscious blocks that prevent us from being fully present in our lives. Using sound vibration in the form of chants and the seeds of self-healing are sown, re-minding us of our original perfection. Kundalini Yoga is an invitation to become your highest potential. It is Yoga in the true sense: Union of your finite self with the Infinite Self.

In 1996 she explored yoga in the ashrams of Rishikesh,India, moving to Lao in 1997 where she met her first inspirational yoga teacher, Sally Sizemore and dedicated herself to regular practice of hatha yoga. Bella began daily Ashtanga Yoga practice in 2001 under the guidance of her mentor Hamish Hendry, apprenticing in adjustments and assisting teaching Mysore Style classes with Hamish, Roberta Giannotti and Denise Christian at Astanga Yoga in London until moving to Oxford in 2009. She met Guruji Sri K. Manu has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 1997. He studied the Ashtanga Yoga method first in Italy under the guidance of Lino Miele for many years before going to Mysore to study at the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in 2005. From 2007-2009 he practiced daily with Hamish Hendry in London and during his twelve years of practice has also studied with David Swenson, Nancy Gilgoff and Gaby Pascoli, all leading him to a deeper consciousness and awareness of the yoga practice and life.

I first started practising yoga in 1994 while at university in London studying for a Degree in Jewellery Design. On my return to my home town in Cornwall, I discovered Astanga Yoga through John Scott who had moved nearby to escape city life. He was my inspiration and taught me in the traditional way, learning and developing day by day and understanding a way to living reflected in a daily practice. I practiced with him for 2 years and under his recommendation, in October 2000, I took my first trip to Mysore to practice under the guidance of Sri. K Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy. I have continued to make visits to study there, so far 5 trips, enjoying the energy of the shala and the inspiring people I meet there. I have also been fortunate to have studied with other great teachers such as Hamish Hendry, Louisa Sear, Elizabeth Connolly, and Emil Wendel, among others. While teaching in London, I also became involved with the Yoga dance company 'Tripisichore', founded by Edward Clark. With them I was introduced to a new aspect of vinyasa, and enjoyed exploring a deep intense practice, gaining greater experience, particularly in backbending and inversions, and a more expressive approach to yoga.
I have been teaching extensively for the past 8 years in England, Bali and also India and Amsterdam. Over the years, I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to travel extensively, finally landing on the shores of Bali in 2005. Here I found my home base where I live most of the year, continuing teaching and also finding an opportunity to design and create again , developing a yoga clothing label called Kaya. A few months of each year, I travel to teach and further my studies in India and Europe.
